Try Skyrgerdin, which is close to the apartment and you will certainly enjoy their food. Short distance to Reykjavik airport...

Food: dinner buffet and breakfast were excellent (the hotel is a part of the Slow Food movement: local & organic products, very well cooked!), free access to swimming-pool & hot pots (very relaxing). Friendly and helpful staff. A lot more services are available at this hotel.

Very personal, motivated and highly helpful staff, also perfectly flexible towards individual requirements. Healthy food. The mudbath is an absolute must (excellent value for money). Overall, a very likeable, personal place.
Travellers should be advised that the hotel operates as a rehab clinic during 10 months per year (slight "hospital atmosphere"), but no patients stay there during the "hotel season".

Food was excellent, and reasonably priced, although the dinner buffet was the same both nights. There were a lot of common areas, that were quiet and inviting.
The room was a little dirty, and was odd because of the previous use of the hotel as a rehab center. However, I believe they are slowly changing it over to a hotel and spa completely. Please note that we had a less expensive room, and this may have also been a reason.

The pool and breakfast buffet were great. Because it is normally a health clinic 9 months out of the year the accomodations resemble a hospital room, which was a little strange. Otherwise very comfortable.

Nice swimming pool and spa.
It is the sanatorium, you feel there as in hospital, if you accept it you will be satisfied.

The pool complex is beautiful and very clean. The setting is nicely maintained, very quiet, and easily accessible to walking trails. Staff very pleasant and helpful, and the front desk receptionist was wonderful in answering our questions and making a phone call for us.
Common bathroom should be checked more frequently for supplies and cleanliness. The wastebaskets were overflowing by the end of the day.

The price + location (we stayed there over night and in the mornng went to Reykjavik). Breakfast was good, however there was no coffee (not healthy), just camomile tea.
It was weird experience, hospital-like rooms and corridors. The guests are moslty 60+ Y.O. Reception is open till 17.00 only and in the morning is closed till 11.30. However people in the nursery may help to check in/out.

It was very clean.
Nobody at the reception when we arrived, after 20h00. It was hard to find the nurse responsible to give us the key. There was NO coffee at the breakfast, only tisane...
